If you think that Green Car Concepts were just mmmm concepts, then think again. Automobile giants world over are serious about producing environmental friendly cars and hence the announcements of a number of hybrids over the past few months.

 

Now news is pouring in that Renault is also cashing into "Green Trend" and have thus announced the production of the Twizy Z.E. in Spain. Z.E. stands for "Zero Emission" and the Twizy was first announced at the Frankfurt Trade Show. Renault will set up its plant 50 km North West of Madrid and will unleash the Twizy by 2011.

Apart from its zero emission design, the Twizy also grabbed eyeballs for its Pearlescent white body coating and luminous matrix displays that moonlight as both head and tail lights. The lights can also be use to create emoticons so that you know what the driver is going through internally! The car is powered by lithium-ion battery pack and features a  20 hp electric motor which renders 70Nm of Torque.
